In our society today, various communities such as the family, religious organizations, educational and unskilled care-givers play a very significant role in helping those with the symptoms of mental health, disease or health related challenges. Hence, they are usually the first point of contact when people have any form of issue, whether financial, emotional, sex, relationship, or otherwise. Nevertheless, although these community roles are very significant in helping the community members, it will be better if the roles are being played professionally too. In order words, a spiritual leader without the proper counselling skills might have good intentions but could be doing more damage than envisaged. Therefore, for these communities or even individual counsellors to do things the right way, our Academy has designed programmes that will help them in providing faith-based counselling combined with clinical counselling skills. We also help in setting up counselling units within these communities too.
